Dropped Objects are among the top 10 causes of Fatality and Serious Injury in the Oil and Gas Industry. This training course will raise awareness to all delegates towards the hazards and risk that can be realized through dropped objects.

By exploring the variety of methods that are available to control and prevent dropped objects, attendees will gain the ability to recognize their responsibilities towards the identification and prevention of dropped objects within the work place.

  • To use a DROPS calculator to understand the impact that dropped objects could have.
  • State how to control dropped objects in the workplace.
  • Understand the controls / responsibilities necessary to prevent dropped objects.
  • State the roles and responsibilities toward the control and prevention of dropped objects.
  • State the difference between static and dynamic dropped objects.
  • Identify and report potential dropped objects.

Target Audience:

All staff who work with or may be exposed to dropped objects during their work.

 

Test:

A multiple-choice test is administered at the conclusion of the program. Incorrectly answered questions will be reviewed with student to ensure understanding before completion of course.

 

Course Materials:

All participants are issued a Training Manual (Student Guide).

 

Course Completion Certificate:

Program participants who successfully complete the course are issued a certificate of completion.
