Objective:
Participants will acquire the knowledge and techniques to recognize potential hazards and avoid collisions and violations and why choosing safe, responsible and lawful driving behaviors and habits make personal and financial sense. They will understand that the right attitude can prevent collisions and poor-decision making as well as how to drive defensively in unpredictable conditions.
Scope:
This course cover:
• Good driver skills.
• Road rage.
• Winter driving safety.
• Vehicle capabilities and limitations.
• Distractions.
• Avoiding and surviving collisions.
• Safety equipment in your car.
Target Audience:
All Staff authorized to drive company vehicles.
Practical Assessment:
Using driving simulator; the trainees will be assessed and demonstrate defensive driving on various scenarios such as driving in heavy rain, reverse parking, cornering and mud driving.
Test:
A multiple-choice test is administered at the conclusion of the program. Incorrectly answered questions will be reviewed with student to ensure understanding before completion of course.
Course Materials:
All participants are issued a Training Manual (Student Guide).
Course Completion Certificate:
Program participants who successfully complete the course are issued a certificate of completion.
