Valve Maintenance & Piping System Protection

services-1

Valves are available in different sizes and designs that dictate their performance in industrial processing applications; sanitary valve applications; fire protection services; heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; and slurries. In broad terms, butterfly valves are vital for flow regulation and flow isolation. This course will provide the attendee with the knowledge necessary to understand and enhance their mechanical aptitude in the area of valve maintenance and piping system protection.

Objectives:

Upon the completion of maintenance planning and scheduling course, the participants will be able to:

  • Identify the basic construction and basic parts of valves.
  • Identify the various types of common valves.
  • Describe various types of special valves and their functions and application.
  • Acquire knowledge and direction regarding maintenance of valves, such as disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruction manuals.
  • Identify and explain the factors that must be considered when selecting a valve for a given application.
  • Describe the various methods and materials used for protecting piping system and the installation, inspection and other forms of piping system protection.
