Rotating Equipment Troubleshooting

services-1

Most of plant’s equipment are rotary. Need to consider multiple failure modes and/or multiple component failures Analysis is fairly complicated. Therefore, understanding the principles of rotating equipment is very essential. This course begins with discussing the definition of rotating equipment, their types and their primary functions, as well as the general characteristics of rotating equipment in relation with their performance. Then, a detailed discussion on primary rotating equipment, namely pumps, compressors, turbines and fans/blowers, will be given.
